Beware Some Poetry Sites

Be aware that some poetry sites (not listed here), asking for submissions to a competition are not what they first appear to be. After you have sent in your poem, you are sent a glowing report on its greatness. You are then told that you poem has been considered suitable for publishing. By this time your head is in the clouds. Then you are asked to buy the publication or to have your poem printed and mounted. You buy the publication (at an inflated price) only to discover that your masterpiece is crammed in as one of 5000 others all printed on less than high quality paper.
